Fiat's Doblo Cargo van won the award for best small van at an awards show last week.
Fiat Professional, the commercial vehicle arm of Fiat, was handed the award for the van at the annual Professional Van and Light Truck magazine awards held in Birmingham.
The award criteria was based on loadspace volume and payload, providing a good indicator for commercial vehicle insurance customers of the capabilities of the vehicle.
Gerry Clarke, director of Fiat Professional in the UK, said: "Doblo's value for money, versatility and practicality is a vote winner with so many of our customers."
He added that the practicality of the loadbox space is complemented by "a comfortable and spacious cabin" and is topped off with a "frugal" engine.
John Fife, editor of Professional Van and Light Truck magazine, added that while other manufacturers have produced new models recently, the Doblo's loadspace is "hard to beat".
